Faith Formation for Children with Learning Differences
Ages 5–12
Class Time: 11:10 AM – 11:40 AM
Meeting location: Room 114 in the POP School Classroom
This small, welcoming class is designed to support the spiritual growth of children with learning differences. Our goal is to help each child encounter God in a meaningful way and prepare them, if desired, to receive the sacraments.
We meet most Sundays during the school year.
We use The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Program, a comprehensive religious education curriculum tailored to children with special needs. This program supports parents and catechists in teaching the Catholic faith in a way that is accessible and developmentally appropriate.
The curriculum explores key aspects of our faith, including:
-
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
-
The life of Christ and the Blessed Mother
-
The sacraments of the Church
-
The Ten Commandments and Christian living
-
Familiar Catholic prayers
-
Saints and their stories
Lessons are structured to build understanding step by step, helping children grow in both faith and confidence.
