What is the Vocation's Ministry

The Prince of Peace Vocation Ministry promotes and supports calls to the priesthood, religious life, diaconate, and other consecrated vocations within our parish.

The mission of the Vocation Ministry is to cultivate a culture in the parish and school to pray for vocations, provide educational opportunities to learn more about vocations and how to discern God's call, and to celebrate the vocations God is calling eachmember of our parish and Diocese to live out in this world.

A vocation is how God calls each of us to serve Him by loving people in the way we live our lives.  God calls us through Baptism and Confirmation to serve Him in a specific way. We can follow God's particular call through the priesthood or the deaconate, as a religious sister or religious brother, or in a sacramental marriage or lay service.

If you are interested in learning more about the priesthood, the permanent diaconate or the religious life, please contact the Vocations Office for the Diocese of Dallas at 214-379-2860 or speak to one of our priests or deacons about this exciting life of service to the people of God.
