At Prince of Peace, adults prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion through OCIA. The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the Catholic Church's process of accompaniment, formation, and discernment for adults who have not yet been baptized. Rather than following a fixed classroom timeline, OCIA unfolds through the Church's liturgical year, guided by prayer, rites, and significant milestones that accompany each person's journey toward Christ and His Church.

That's why our process is personalized to each individual. We begin whenever you're ready, not according to a school calendar. Through conversation, prayer, formation, parish life, and personal accompaniment, we'll help you discern the next steps that fit your unique journey, schedule, and life circumstances. There are milestones to celebrate, but no arbitrary deadlines. God moves everyone's heart to receive and respond a multitude of ways and timeframes. While those who are not yet baptized are typically prepared to receive all of their Sacraments the following Easter at the Vigil Mass, it may differ based on your own particular situation and background.
