What is the OCIA? The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation, adapted for children) is a process for school-aged children (typically over the age of reason; age 7+) who have not been baptized and want to become Catholic.

Has Your Child Been Asking About Baptism or Becoming Catholic?

If your child is over the age of 7 and has not yet been baptized, we invite your family to learn about our OCIA Adapted for Children process.

This journey of faith helps children come to know Jesus, learn and grow in the Catholic faith, and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil on March 27, 2027.

Registration is required, which begins July 1, 2026. Classes begin with Meet the Teacher on September 13. We meet on most Sundays during the school year from 11:10am – 12:10pm.

For more information or to register, please contact Sue Mann, Director of Children’s Ministry, at 469-328-6600 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will discuss if this process fits the needs of your child.
