MEET MICHAEL

My name is Michael Muldowney and I am happy to be serving as the Director of Evangelization at Prince of Peace. As a cradle Catholic, I considered the Catholic faith to be interesting, but never really considered it to be my faith. Halfway through college, I found myself searching for purpose in life. My first encounter with the Holy Spirit had me abruptly decide to move across the country to study Theology at Franciscan University where I completed a BA and MA in Theology.

My wife, Caye-An, and I married in San Antonio in 2009 and then lived in Pittsburgh where I worked in a small, inner-city parish. While working with the K-8 program, I was able to see firsthand the need for a greater focus on evangelization and catechesis for parents and adults.

We moved to Colorado and I began working in Adult Formation at a parish just south of Denver. The programs I worked with morphed to be more evangelization focused as I met so many people that had an as-of-yet unsated thirst for Christ. Everyone, from the Catholic in the pews to the unbaptized, needs to be invited, and reinvited, to a personal encounter with Christ. I found great joy in being able to be a part of people’s faith journey.

We moved to Texas to be closer to our family after many years away from home. We have three daughters: Gianna, Elise, and Colette, and one son, Samuel. We are excited to be parishioners at Prince of Peace and look forward to getting to know the people who make up this vibrant Catholic Community.
