Q: Why is the Building on The Cornerstone Building Campaign so important?

A: As we approach the campaign, its mission and ministry, it is essential that we look at our campus as a whole and address the needs as the sum and not just its individual parts. As St. Paul mentions in 1 Cor 12, "As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body...now the body is not a single part, but many...but as it is, there are many parts, yet one body". Your support will play a critical role in the successful completion of the campaign. Clearly identified by our Prince of Peace community, the parish and school improvements will not only meet real, immediate needs of our parish, but will also ensure that our school remains among the best in the area.

Q: Is the Campaign part of the regular parish stewardship or school annual fund?

A: Our response to God is based on prayer and the awareness of his gifts. In other words, there is a strong stewardship component to every successful building campaign. Your gift is important to support the works of the parish ministries and the school. Your gift to the campaign would be over-and-above your regular stewardship to the parish and/or the school.

Q: What is our overall financial goal?

A: As explained in the project breakdown, our goal is to raise $30 million dollars.

Q: How much should I give?

A: As you prayerfully reflect on your level of commitment, please remember that it takes the entire community to reach our goal.

We invite and encourage you to prayerfully consider making a meaningful, sacrificial gift to the Building on The Cornerstone Building Campaign. Your impactful gift can be made over a period of three years, helping to move us closer to our goal and serving as a powerful sign of your commitment to the future of Prince of Peace Catholic Community and those we serve every day.

Q: Why is my participation important?

A: This campaign is not meant for a small group but rather for all of us to participate. Every gift matters, and we want everyone involved in building our church for our future. Your participation is fundamental to assuring a solid financial future for our project Additionally, a high percentage of giving by our community demonstrates a strong commitment to Prince of Peace. Strong participation for the campaign often positively influences contributions from foundations and corporations, who we will be approaching in the near future to raise more funds. Our goal is 100% participation.

Q: How do I “build on the cornerstone” and honor my commitment?

A: There are several ways to contribute. Your commitment can be mailed or dropped off at the parish office in the form of a check. Pledges or gifts can be made online via the Prince of Peace Catholic Community website.

Q: My employer has a gift-matching program. How can I learn more?

A: Additional support to the campaign may be provided through the generosity of corporate matching gift programs that make it possible for employees to increase the value of their gifts. Typically, individuals must submit forms to their employers and can find information abouttheir matching gift benefits from their human resources department.
