PROFESS- PUTTING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD: NAVIGATING SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Demons, Satan, the powers of darkness - they’re real and they are actively at work in our world. The question is do you know how to recognize them and, if need be, go to combat against them? Spiritual warfare is an image that many of us would rather reject. However, since the Bible uses terms of warfare, it’s best that we accept God’s imagery, so that we’re properly prepared for real battle. Come listen, learn and pray as Fr. Edwin Leonard unpacks the turn on the nature of evil in the world today.

OUR SPEAKER

Ordained in 2012 by Cardinal Kevin J. Farrell for the Diocese of Dallas, Fr.Edwin Leonard served his first two years of priesthood as the Parochial Vicar at St. Rita Catholic Church, in July 2014 he was assigned as the Director of Vocations. The past three years and under Fr. Leonard’s direction the diocese accepted a total of 52 new seminarians. His work with the National Evangelization Team (NET) from 2003-2005 helped develop his ability to promote the Gospel with devotion. Fr. Leonard is a graduate of Franciscan University. He uses his strong enthusiasm for crossfit, movies, sporting events, and music festivals to connect with the youth and young adults of the diocese. Fr. Edwin “enjoys sharing his love for the Gospel with the youth and teaching the next great generation of saints."
