Organization Profile: The mission of ASD is to create and strengthen healthy communities through the delivery of quality, affordable, service-enriched housing for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. ASD’s mission includes advocacy, education, and the development of affordable housing options and community development opportunities, both for its residents living with HIV/AIDS, and for economically disadvantaged people.
Needs on an ongoing basis: Toilet Paper, laundry detergent, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, lotion, facial tissue, towels, washcloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, laundry, feminine hygiene products, black hair products, Q-Tips, cotton balls, and bath soap.
Items the organization will accept: Sofas, furniture, accent furniture, side tables, lamps, pots and plants, living room furniture, slightly used clothes, pots & pans, arts & crafts supplies, twin or full sheets (new), twin or full bed covers (new).
Items the organization will not accept: Any kitchen appliances or old electronics.
Pick-up/Delivery/Storage Schedules if any: Maintenance Department Pick – Up Schedule: Monday after 1:30pm. Wednesday after 1:30pm. Thursday before 11:30am.
Seasonal Needs: Presents or supplies for our ASD’s Holiday Season Wish - List Program. Also ASD’s School Supplies Drive for our children at Spencer and Revlon during each school year.
Bilingual: Spanish and English is a plus!
Volunteer Needs: Please show your support by helping & volunteering with the Prince of Peace Outreach Group! Prince of Peace comes to Revlon Apartments every third Saturday of every month. Help is needed in providing hot & nutritious meals to our residents at Revlon Apartments.
