For over 25 years The Sister Parish Ministry at Prince of Peace partners with Las Mercedes parish in El Progreso, Honduras in a faith-based friendship focused on caring for orphaned, malnourished, and sick children in Honduras through two important ministries: the Hogar Suyapa Orphanage and the Nutrition Center.

The orphanage provides a safe, loving home and care for children who have been abandoned or cannot safely remain with their families, while the Nutrition Center provides love, medical care, and nutritional support to malnourished children and helps educate their parents on how to properly care for their children once rehabilitated.
