I am not a native Texan, but “I got here as fast as I could” back in 1991. I’m originally from St. Louis where my three brothers and I were raised by my parents in a warm, loving, Catholic home. I attended elementary school at St. Thomas the Apostle in Florissant, MO and to this day, have maintained lifelong friendships made during those special years in Catholic School.
I first became a member of Prince of Peace back in the early days where mass was celebrated in a temporary office building on Ohio Street. I fell in love with the community instantly and after years of working in the restaurant business, decided to redirect my efforts into helping children experience the same kind of special memories I had in my childhood - learning about the incredible love of Jesus.
My husband and I share a truly blessed and loving blended family of which three generations serve at Prince of Peace. My stepdaughter is a teacher’s assistant with the pre-kindergarteners and you will find my fun, loving mother of 87 years at the school check-in desk for after school care. My twenty-six-year-old daughter was a graduate of the University of Texas and resides in Seattle working in the tech field.
