They meet year-round, EVERY Tuesday night from 7-8:30pm in The Bride’s Room (except if that Tuesday is 1--a holy day; or 2--a holiday; or 3--when we have a parish-wide mission or event, when we will then join-in with the parish). They are a small once-a-week praying community for fostering a sense & a practice of contemplative prayer. While centering prayer (Christian meditation) is done privately most of the time, their weekly gatherings are a time of sharing & supporting one another within the practice. They are an open group for new members, and no prior experience is necessary except the desire to be open to learn this daily personal, silent contemplative prayer practice. Anyone new to the practice will be taught how to begin this method. They will also receive resources to use at home on Centering Prayer as well as Lectio Divina.
